I discovered a couple of days ago that eight, yes, eight, and eight is definitely enough, of my poems have been selected for for publication in The Geography of Hope, Volume II, (an anthology of western Colorado poets), edited by David J Rothman. It should come out some time early next year, I think. This is sort've a big deal for an unschooled waify little yunk like myself, so I'm buying oreos and apfle schnapps for everyone, because who the hell says I don't have taste ?
I don't suppose it's much of a coinscidence that several of the poems that were chosen were poems that folks here on Erato felt had merit, and/or encouraged me to polish and/or believe in. Thanks to everyone for your generosity of spirit, and for never seeming to tire of sharing your buckets of knowledge with me. wendy |
Way to go Wendy! Pass der schnapps, oreos too. I'll look for the book, having especially fond memories of Colorado, where my father lived for years. And, of course, I've long admired your work. What's next? Poet Lariat of Colorado?Cheers.

Peter, let's dress in drag and go on town in Oslo. I want to be an accomplished poet, too. http://www.ablemuse.com/erato/ubbhtml/wink.gif
More seriously: Congrats, Wendy. It's what you do, not who you "are" that matters. ------------------ -- Svein Olav http://nonserviam.com/solan/ |

I don't know your work yet, Wendy, but I've met David Rothman and respect his judgment, so this is certainly a notable achievement. Congratulations!

Thanks, Anthony. I respect him much, too, and he's been a godsend for me, wonderfully encouraging in so many ways.
Welcome to Erato, by the way. wendy |
