Don't know if everyone's gotten his copy of "Poetry" yet, but the most recent issue contains a strong, laudatory review of Rhina's "Rehearsing Absence" by Robert Shaw.

That's grand, Len! Thanks for letting us know: I look forward to reading the review. Go Rhina!

Len: My copy hasn't arrived yet, and now I have good reason to hang out by the mail box in anticipation. Thanks for letting us know that in this capricious world people sometimes get what they deserve.

Well, I probably won't get my copy of Poetry for another couple of months... But am looking forward to it.
Rhina also has a poem featured today (Sept. 7th) on the new site Verse Daily (modeled on POetry Daily): Verse Daily yet more World Domination! |
My copy of Poetry finally made out here to the hinterlands, and the review of Rhina's book is indeed splendid -- but why not, given that the book itself is splendid? Buy the magazine and read it; more important, buy the book and read IT!

Not only is it a good review, the book inspired the good review. (I subscribe to Poetry and am always shocked at how many of the poems are not formal in the least way.) TJ |
