On Wednesday, two nights ago, Tim Murphy hypnotized an audience in Newburyport, first with his own poems in the "voices" of the American prairie, and then with a spectacular reading of "Beowulf," in both languages. A stunning performance, and with good reason: the Murphy had rehearsed by speaking the Wulf's lines aloud to the Atlan-tic, which will probably never forget the experience!

No surprise, and I wish I'd been there.

Kudos, Tim!

As a member of the audience, I second Rhina's remarks: Tim was just superb, and the minutes he spent on his own short lyrics WAY too short.
