Maryann Corbett on Verse Daily
 

I just noticed that Maryann Corbett had a poem on Verse Daily on Aug 9. Here's the link. I love how the poem brings the grand and the mythical into the mundane world of airport terminals.

Congrats, Maryann! I can't believe you were too humble to announce this. If I had a poem in Verse Daily, I would be shouting from the rooftops. There seems to be a typo, however -- I hope you can ask them to fix it.

Thanks, Nausheen, and thanks, Susan, for your good words. I actually missed seeing this until yesterday, when Ryan Wilson told me about it.

I confess that my not posting had less to do with humility than with the hope that I could get them to fix the two typos first. I e-mailed about them yesterday, but nothing's happened yet.

So I hope readers will mentally fix line 1 to read "And now, presto--the way dreams change, abruptly--" and line 5 to read "Tii.e" as "The."

But I'm very happy to be on Verse Daily, typos notwithstanding :)
