Well, you just started one John. Nice one. I'm very very happy. JC is a thoroughly decent man. How do I know? Sometimes you just know. And a strong leader? He's survived two years of vitriol and smears from the Conservatives, the British tabloid press at their most loathsome and his own party without once losing his composure. And last night he came up smiling.
I have lots more to say but Friday evening dictates that I have nothing more to say (right now).

It's nice to hear good words about Jeremy Corbyn. He certainly has survived his share of vitriol, and from over here, it seems he's emerged quite well out of the election process.
Theresa May impresses me mostly in her capacity to kneecap her political rivals (and spectacularly botch plainly Machiavellian calculations). But as I say, I'm over here in Texas, which is a long way away.

As well as giving the vile Mail and Sun a black eye, Corbyn the underdog has got a good number of the young voting. They've been a missing element for far too long.

I am puzzled as to how an experienced politician like Theresa May could self-destruct so spectacularly.

I was concerned by the possibility of a Tory landslide and a weak opposition. Now, thanks to the Labour revival and to a lesser extent the survival of the Lib Dems and others, that is not such a worry and following the SNP's losses the prospect of a break-up of the UK has also lessened.

When I was still in the UK, I remember Frye and Laurie doing a bit with Hugh Laurie in pinstripes saying "I never have time to read a newspaper in the mornings. So I read The Daily Mail."
