Jealous--I would love to be able to say "I was at Woodstock."

So easy to be there, Aaron! Come up and check us out, maybe see if you can line up a gig.
|
Wow, that's very close to my home, and I've never been to a reading, I blush to admit. I hope to attend!

Terese, Wendy,
I'll be in PA around that date (the five- year anniversary of my father's passing) so I may be able to make a detour up to the Woodstock/Kingston area. I lived in Poughkeepsie for several years as a toddler. It's not far from there, if I recall. |
Come along, Michael! Would be pleased to meet you.
And Cathy, yes! Not far from Poughkeepsie~~just cross the Hudson and take 9W or the Thruway up to Kingston, then a short stretch of 28 Northwest to 375. (Most people think 375 is better than the twistier alternative, Zena Road, which comes up first on 28. Both are right turns.) I'd love to see you there! I'm thrilled you might come! Both of you bring something to read at the Open, too~~and same to you, Aaron, if you make it! |
Terese & Wendy,
See you on Tuesday! C. |
Fabulous news, Cathy! We're both excited about this~~and everyone in the Open can read up to five minutes! Assuming we don't have a plethora of Open readers, of course.
Safe trip to you, and email me if you need any more instructions to get there. |
Wendy Sloan wanted me to post this for her bc she's having connectivity problems:
It was wonderful reading with Terese at the Harmony in Woodstock Tu. night. The Open mic was amazing, which is always a surprise, and the audience was very receptive, with a full house that included Cathy Chandler, Hugo, and Mike Ferris. It was a real pleasure reading to such an intelligent audience. Even though Terese, Cathy, and I were the only ones reading formal verse, everyone seemed to be enjoying the artistic interchange. |
