To Those of You in the Houston Area --

& I know there are a few here, I hope to make you aware of the Houston Poetry Fest this weekend. The opening event is Wednesday, Oct 9, at HELIOS, 411 Westheimer, 8pm. A feature & an open reading. In short a whole night of poetry. Free to the public. Then Thursday, Oct 10, at THE ORANGE SHOW, 2404 Munger of I-45, 7pm.

After this, the Fest proper begins with events at the University of Houston Downtown campus, Oct 11 through Oct 13. Friday night @ 7pm. Saturday all day: workshops, open mics & features. Poetry in Motion on Saturday night, 7pm. Finally a closing reading on Sunday at noon. In short, a whole weekend of poetry.
