"Turf" in Literary Matters
I have a poem, one of my faves, in the latest issue of "Literary Matters": http://www.literarymatters.org/10-1-turf/

Brilliant.

Thank you, Jim. It was partly inspired by a visit to Itasca State Park in Minnesota. Am I a nature poet now?
|
Very much enjoyed.
Is this going to be in Manhattanite? |
Yep, I took the title for the book from this poem. Thanks--I love this poem especially much but for whatever reason had found it hard to place, until last month when Lit. Matters took it.
|
Yup. That's what I figured reading it. Looking forward to reading Manhattanite.
Side note: I do find it strange that works I'm convinced are my best--and even said so by other writers--seem to have more difficulty finding a home than others that feel manifestly lesser. So it goes, I guess. It seems strange to me that this poem would struggle... |
Great ear, as Dylan said of Brian Wilson. Thanks for sharing, Aaron.
Cheers, John |
Excellent poem, Aaron!

Hey, Aaron. I like it!

Thank you, gentlemen. This one is especially special to me.
