Tony thanks so much for posting this. I am one of many who admires and respects your father for his scholarship and literary production and not least his many services to translation. A portal figure for all who are interested in the art of translation and who even has made a whistle stop at the Sphere.
I'll probably never have all seventy of his books but I do have and enjoy The Poetics of Translation: History, Theory, Practice" and the (co-edited with your mom, I believe) "A Book of Women Poets" (which for the uninformed consists of translations of women poets from antiquity to now).
This sounds like an must-read, must-have history vital to the understanding of the poetry of our era.
