Congratulations to the Sphereans who appear in the issue of The Formalist which just arrived: Alicia Stallings, Catherine Tufariello, Richard Wilbur, Anthony Hecht, Shekhar Aiyar, Susan Maclean, Paul Lake, Bruce McBirney, Deborah Warren, Len Krisak, Don Kimball, Bob Crawford, Jennifer Reeser, and Alfred Nicol. Where would the Formalist be without you?

I liked Alicia Stallings's blues poem...it really should be set to music.

Congratulations to All!
A veritable haul—
and by the way,
it's Bob Dylan's birthday.

Terese

(I wouldn't have mentioned the latter, except it's also my oldest friend's birthday; we've been friends for 44 years. His name is Steve.) Sorry for the tangent!

Congrats to all.
It's a pity key American pubs like Formalist and I&T are so difficult to subscribe to, if you don't live in America. Pay Pal is excellent, and very easy to use.
Pity, too, they don't take electronic submissions as it's a high wall for foreigners to climb.
Best wishes,
David

Happy to be in such company. My thanks to Tim, and to Rhina also, for suggesting that I send that poem to The Formalist.

Almost any issue of The Formalist would be an ideal text book for a class in poetry writing or poetry appreciation (although, come to think of it, there's no reason that should be two different classes). Congratulations to all the 'spherians who helped make the new issue so unputdownable.

Sly, Richard!
You meant in both
senses of the word,
didn't you?
