Wow Birthe, thanks for posting these. I love them. They are charming. I love their modern, painterly style, that still manages to be reminiscent of traditional folk art. I am partial to Danish art anyway because my great grandfather was a Danish painter.

I am so glad that you like Lene's paintings. I think she is very talented. She is 59, and very actively exhibiting and teaching. You can find her on Face Book. She is my niece.
How interesting that your great grandfather was a Danish painter. Might I know of him?

His name was Paul (or Poul) Fischer - His nickname was "Copenhagen's painter".

Wow! Paul Fischer...... How wonderful. Your great grandfather's paintings are well known and much loved. He was a very fine artist, in time and style much akin to Sweden's Carl Larsson, who has had much more publicity. Denmark should make as much of Paul Fischer outside Denmark as in. I really love his paintings. What an exciting great grandfather to have!
