Nice rendering...it's so very difficult to paint children, they never stay still for more than 2 seconds at a time! You were painting outside? Brrr...

Terrific.
i love the aggressive stroke work. still trying to get a grip on how some can abstract the subject so much without losing it.

I agree with Geo about the abstract quality and still the boy has presence. The light hitting him really gives him form and the play between the strong reds is a nice punch.
