Seven Kitchens Press and Hopewell Bay
Hoping to be forgiven for popping in for a short brag here.
My long (30 page) hybrid poem, Hopewell Bay, has been made into a beautiful little chapbook by Seven Kitchens thanks to Ron Mohring.
Here is the link: https://sevenkitchenspress.com/2017/...-hopewell-bay/
I have been absent these days while I work on short lyric essay and some other hybrid type writings.

Just saw this- congratulations, Cyn! (A long poem for me is like two pages... and those hybrids sound interesting.)
Cheers,
JB

Congrats Cyn,
I bought a copy based on the strength of this publicly available stanza:
28.
My love, I don’t know how to tell you
what I know. How the sky, once blue,
now like spillage, greasy and gray, might have one day
opened and let you see how rain is formed,
the weep of it. But now I know how they saw my face, shrouded
with a constant fury. Now it urgently mouths I’m sorry
while clouds stumble in skies where, once in a while,
bright and heavenly bodies have the audacity to rise.

It's a thing of beauty, Hopewell Bay.
I'm so pleased to see that it's bound for the world, Cynders!

James, Andrew, Cally - Thanks so much for popping in (and Andrew for ordering it!). I was proud to have it chosen as a free standing chapbook by Seven Kitchens Press. I have been absent from all forums of late, just busy with life, but never forgot how much this place meant and still means to me. This place, where my sense of poetry took shape. I hope to be able to stop by more frequently. Best to everyone.
