Guessing the Scots Outcome?
I'm wondering if, without getting into political arguments, we can take a vote here on whether it's going to be Yes (independence from the UK) or No (status quo, perhaps with embellishments) on Scotland.
Can we take a vote?
I'm thinking it's going to go to Yes.
I can't say which is best, for many reasons. But I guess the polls in Scotland will be opening in a few hours.

If there's a pool, here's my entry:
52-48 no.
Is there a prize involved?

51-49 no. (I was going to say 52-48, but that would have meant agreeing with Bill.)

Haha, Michael!
Bill, I can't think of anything you need. :-)
Rick, that's not a vote but I read you!
I'll be more specific in keeping with the thread so far: 51 to 49 Yes.

Haha! So we have 2 yes and 2 no. Tied for the nonce.

I say NO (independence)--with, as Terese put it, "embellishments."
And so far the pollsters back me up! Here's a link.

Yes, that really would suck, wouldn't it? Oh, the humanity!

This is not a game, any more than your West Chester débâcle is a game. In that case I, interested but disinterested, have watched and listened, wishing the parties well and the affair an honest outcome.
With respect, the outcome of today's vote will leave a lot of hurt wherever the decision falls. Either way, half of Scotland will be disappointed and other matters, both of heart and head, will need to be cut open and examined from tomorrow onwards.
If I refrain from making book on your "little local difficulty"* can you find it in your hearts to be as gentle with mine?
*A phrase from British politics, with no offence implied.
