I was lucky enough to see Marina Abramovic’s show at MoMA two years ago; it was, I think, the most astounding art show I’ve ever seen.

If you are in the NYC area, the documentary on Marina’s career and her MoMA show, “Marina Abramovic: The Artist Is Present” is showing through next Tuesday at Film Forum on Houston. Sometime this Summer, I understand the documentary will be airing on HBO.

I saw the film this week, and I can’t recommend it highly enough. She has been – for me – a revelation.

I note that the documentary has been extended at Film Forum. But in case anyone is nearly as obsessive as I am, there's also this fantastic and long interview with MA from the The Tate in October, 2010.

Yeah, I watched it twice. All 90 minutes.
