Charles Martin is the author of six books of poems: Room for Error (University of Georgia Press, 1978), Passages from Friday (Abattoir, 1979), Steal the Bacon (Johns Hopkins University Press, 1987), What the Darkness Proposes (Johns Hopkins University Press, 1996), Starting from Sleep: New and Selected Poems (Sewanee Writers’ Series/The Overlook Press, 2002), which was nominated for the Pulitzer Prize and was a finalist for the Lenore Marshall Award, and Signs and Wonders (Johns Hopkins University Press, 2011). Metamorphoses (W. W. Norton, 2003), his verse translation of the original work by Ovid, received the 2004 Harold Morton Landon Translation Award. Among other honors, he has received an Academy Award in Literature from the American Academy and Institute of Arts and Letters, a Bess Hokin Award from Poetry magazine, a Pushcart Prize, and fellowships from the Ingram Merrill Foundation and the National Endowment for the Arts. The Poet in Residence at The Cathedral of St. John the Divine in New York from 2005 to 2009, he has also taught in The Writing Seminars at Johns Hopkins University, Syracuse University, the West Chester Conference on Form and Narrative in Poetry, the Stonecoast MFA program, and the Sewanee School of Letters.

Jenna Le is the author of Six Rivers (NYQ Books, 2011), which was a Small Press Distribution Poetry Bestseller. Her poetry, fiction, book criticism, and translations have appeared or are forthcoming in journals such as AGNI Online, Barrow Street, Massachusetts Review, Measure, Mezzo Cammin, Pleiades, Raintown Review, and 32 Poems. Born in Minnesota, she earned a B.A. in Mathematics from Harvard and an M.D. from Columbia. She has since worked as a physician in Queens and in the Bronx.
