Default Magic at String Poet

Hey, folks,

Up today, Magic, a poem from The Structure of Desire. At String Poet, the journal where music and poetry meet. Also in this issue, Ned Balbo, Catherine Chandler, John Dunn Smith, Steve Lautermilch, David Axelrod, Karen Kelsay Davies, and many more. Annabelle Moseley curates brilliantly. It's worth a read!

Thanks,

Bill

Congratulations to all you talented Spherians, not to forget Marly Youmans and Editor Annabelle.

The transcultural span is truly inspirational.

Thanks for posting this, Bill. I'm proud to have your fine work in this issue. And thanks for the words of congratulations, Janice, Andrew and Charlotte. I'm relatively new to Eratosphere but am struck by the presence of so many truly brilliant and accomplished poets- many of whom have submitted stunning work to String Poet over the first three issues we have published. I look forward to reading more such work when String Poet opens again for submissions in late June. It will be wonderful to catch up with Spherian friends and meet new ones at West Chester this year.

Cheers,
Annabelle

Because I enjoyed the poem so much, with its Shakespearean panache & Hitchcock-reminiscent insect imagery (that's Robyn Hitchcock--what's a hive if not a home?), I thought I'd second the motion to visit J. D. Smith's String Poet Award-winning "Upkeep." Here's the direct link:

Thanks, Annabelle--it's a pleasure to take part.

Magic, indeed, throughout the issue. Congratulations to these talented poets and this fine editor. Ned, thanks for the link to "Upkeep," a terrific piece--but yours also deserves special praise. (It, um, "struck a chord" with me!)

Best,
Jean
