Anthology to benefit Doctors Without Borders
Some here may be interested in this call for submissions, which ends 31 January 2015. Previously published poems OK. No free contributor copies, since it's a fundraiser.
The theme is Poems for a Liminal Age, and the call specifically requests poems on that theme without really defining it...so your guess is as good as mine. (I guess hazy boundaries are the whole point of Médecins Sans Frontières, though.)

Thanks for the information, Julie. Just had my poem "Last Communion" (about a woman mercifully killing a mortally injured duck she discovers on a beach) accepted for the book though I still have no idea what "A Liminal Age" is. I'm especially pleased since Doctors Without Borders is one of my favorite international organizations.

I'll be in there also - just heard that The Journalist (which is also in my 2012 book) was accepted. And I'm delighted to be in anything connected to Doctors Without Borders.

Me too.
"Dead Young Thing" - originally published in The Raintown Review - will be in the MSF-UK anthology.
Can't wait to see it!!
Thanks, Julie!

And me too. Poems called "Under the Blue Wind" and "Day and Night." Thanks, Julie, for posting the call for submissions.

And I join the "me too" chorus. My villanelle "Letter to Asma Al-Assad" will be included. Looks like quite a few Spherians will be there. For an excellent cause.

My translation of Cervantes's poem, "I Look for Life in Death," which originally appeared in Leviathan Quarterly, will also be in it. Thank you, Julie, for letting us all know about this.

Sorry, I haven't been paying attention. Congratulations to Mary, Michael, Martin, Wendy, Kyle, Siham, Roger, and another Spherean who mentioned to me that he'll also have a poem in the anthology. I didn't submit anything, but I look forward to buying a copy. Sounds fabulous!
