I raise a glass to Mark Allinson for all he has done for Cally.
I raise the same glass for Mike Lane, whose superb chapbook arrived today.
And I raise the (lighter) glass for Nemo, whose hard work and devotion have made such things possible.
Without devotion we'd all be in a desert.

This is when I feel any type of regret for living where I live.
This, West Chester, Marcia's reading and all the great things that occur on the East Coast (where I used to live BTW - in CT a mere hour or two away from everything)
I am a fan of so many of the alum of EXOT (and am proud to have had a poem published in an EXOT book - it's in my bio!) - I feel sad I cannot be there

Maybe EXOT needs a West Coast division...Let there be commerce between us.

Bumping this up since the reading is in two days, this Saturday, 5-8 PM. Cally arrived safe and sound a couple of hours ago, and I suspect she is staring out in jet-lagged tinged rapture across the Hudson River at this very moment. This will be a really diverse and lively reading--don't miss it if you are in the area.
Also, the book being launched at the reading, the latest and bluest jewel in the EXOT crown, is now available at EXOT BOOKS, hot off the presses...
Blue Wins Forever by Paco Brown.
Special discounts on books sold at the reading.
As well as eye-opening exotic teas from the Jujo-Mukti Lounge.
We'll be expecting you and you and--yes-- you.

Yes, the West Coast has its joys for sure (and Tim Steele does a bang up job every year), but you guys in New York have so much fun! As I said on the Rick/Walter thread, I'll be there briefly in the summer, and it would be great to hear some poetry if there's anything going on--though I do remember NYC shutting down in August when I lived there....
Good luck to all--oh it must be starting about now. Cheers!
