I'm not sure if this is the proper link to list somewhat impressive activities that are not "publications" or "awards," although I've seen some "readings" recorded here. Anyway, I'll try out this set of "accomplishments" and, Carol, if you find it inappropriate, I can take it elsewhere.

I was part of three wonderful events in April and May.

On April 11, I was "master of ceremonies" and a "warm-up" reader for Robert Creeley on Robert Creeley Day in Acton, Massachusetts, where Creeley grew up.

On May 17, I delivered a 10-minute speech on Anne Sexton & Her Kind (her musical/poetry group) at Cooper Union in NYC for the Poetry Society of America's "Beyond Tribute: Anne Sexton Revisited." My team-mates were J.D. McClatchy, Marie Howe, David Trinidad, Eileen Miles, Betsy Andrews, and Chris Stroffolino. Alice Quinn kicked it off. McClatchy moderated.

On May 19th, clearly the most original of the events, I read for two and one-half hours as a performer of Gary Duehr's poetry in a remarkable event by Invisible Cities Group called "Impossible Library." It took place in Forest Hills Cemetery, Jamaica Plain, Boston, wherein Eugene O'Neill, e.e. cummings, and Anne Sexton are buried. Poetry, sculpture, music, dance, and other peculiars moved a strolling audience of more than 500 people.

NEVER visit Boston without checking to see if Invisible Cities Group has something happening. It's peculiar and indelible art. This was my first time with them, and I'll kick in 'til I kick off.

Bob:
A list of accomplishments at least as impressive as any publication -- and great contributions to the communal task of carrying poetry forward. I wish I could have been there.
