Default Melissa Balmain on NVN

Not to be missed - Melissa Balmain's really hard-hitting piece about the gun issue in the wake of Las Vegas in The New Verse News for Saturday 7th October.

Yes, it's good. I like the poster that illustrates it, too.

Great poem, Melissa! You speak for a lot of us when bitter laughter & a pained smile help keep disgust (or tears) at bay.

I also feel I should recognize the meter from an existing song. Is there one?

Thank you, everyone, for your enthusiasm and kindness. Ned, I do intend the poem as a song, and I'm sure there are plenty of existing songs with the same meter, but I don't know any specific ones.
