Al Basile is a poet, singer/songwriter, and cornetist. He began his career as a cornet player with Roomful of Blues in 1973, and has worked with the Duke Robillard Band since 1990. He has ten solo CDs out; five of the most recent reached the Top 15 on the Living Blues airplay charts. He was nominated in 2010, 2012, and 2013 for a Blues Music Award as Best Horn Player. His poetry and fiction have been published in recent years. He taught at the Providence Country Day School from 1980 to 2005, and has since concentrated on his writing, performing, and recording.
David M. Katz’s collection, Claims of Home, Poems 1984-2010, was published in by Dos Madres Press. Poems of his have appeared in Poetry, The New Criterion, The Paris Review, The New Republic, Shenandoah, Southwest Review, Notre Dame Review, The Cortland Review, The Raintown Review, and BigCityLit.. His first book of poems, The Warrior in the Forest, was published by House of Keys. A financial journalist and editor, he lives in New York City and is married to the poet and editor Linda Stern.
