Default The Germ (無μ (Mu mu) Magazine)

A poem of mine appears today in The Germ (無μ (Mu mu) Magazine)

http://cornholecompany.blogspot.com/...-near-you.html

The poem had been workshopped here on the Sphere a while back.
Many thanks to all of you who helped me polish it.

Esther Greenleaf Murer also has a poem here (an amusing triolet).

Fun poem, Martin! I really enjoyed it. And a nice venue to discover. Also thanks for the link to Esther's delightful triolet. Thanks for posting this, and congrats all around!

I missed this notice when it was posted, but I remembered the delightful dark nonsense of "Somewhere Near You" from when it was on the Sphere, and happened to stumble across it earlier today. Very well done, Martin.

Best,

Ed

Very cool, Martin -- congrats! The anapestic meter and the relentless rhyming makes it creepy and hypnotic -- I had to force myself to stop re-reading it, sort of like having to pull oneself out of a trance. Which shows how well the poem works!

Delightful! I'm partial to poems with skinks and narwhals in them.

and thanks for the notice, Martin.

I note that this zine has no submission guidelines listed and is marked "DNQ" in Duotrope. Does anyone know if it's still going?

Edit: now I see on the Germ page http://germ-magazine.com/submissions.html
that it was closed to subs thru Dec 2014, so maybe it hasn't reopened yet.

Thanks, Ed, Allen, Nausheen, and Esther! It’s nice to know that the poem is still up there on the site and that folks are enjoying it.

Nausheen - “creepy” and “hypnotic” are flattering words, indeed!
