Special thanks go to Ryan Wilson.
I'm still reading through it. I hope others here find much to enjoy.

Congratulations, fine poem. It had a particular resonance for me since I went for a long walk on Fire Island just last Saturday, and it is indeed quite beautiful.

Thanks, Bob!
It is, indeed. I've been there only once --- a sunny day last year. That beautiful walk-way through the dune grasses --- the birds and deer --- and the view from the lighthouse! And then two people I love most got married there this summer. Nemo and Julio. The marriage of persons to place couldn't have been more inspiring.

With my wife and son, I have walked the trail to the lighthouse at least a hundred times. We live about a 20 minute drive from there.

I wish I'd known this last year! We could have walked together. You're a photgrapher, too, right? The light/shadows on the dunes and the fences with deer in foreground -- so beautiful. And so many stories in that lighthouse. You live in a glorious place, Bob. I hope to go there again within the next six months.
Why, thanky, my Memsical!!

This poem made me happy tonight. 'The shape of water hiding in the water' made my mind fizz the way only good poetry can. Thanks Cally!

Thanks, Mark! You're right -- lots of good reading within . . . I've just finished reading the translations.
And thanks, Sharkey! I'm so happy it made you happy, because weddings are deeply happy things, and that's why I love writing epithalamions. Spenser's is still one of my all-time favourite poems.

Gorgeous poem, Calligraphic One!!! So good I could taste it. You captured the good stuff, and I love it.
