Animal poems -- submission opportunity
I thought some of you might be interested in submitting poems that "explore the human-animal bond." They're being sought by the National Museum of Animals and Society (Los Angeles). Here's the link.

Interesting project, but those guidelines are annoying.

And they say:

What?? That's the first time I've ever seen that. Why on earth do they want to see our CVs? I've been retired for four years -- I might think of submitting, but I sure ain't looking for a job with them!

Maybe we're all thinking of the wrong kind of CV. For example, knowing your calorific value might help them plan their carnivores' dietary needs.

I have a feeling they're defining CV as "list of previous publications." Why they need a full list is still beyond me, and I'll bet mentioning a few selections would do.
(Do I even have any animal poems? Not sure, so I doubt I'll be submitting.)

I submitted a few and included a link to my website so they can look up my publications if that's what they're looking for. Thanks again, Roger.

Oh, come now, people, surely if they'd called it a "bio" nobody'd've batted a proverbial.

At the end of the document include a brief biographical statement and a second statement of no more than 150 words explaining how your poems and poetic practice relate to the exhibition’s theme and purpose. Please include your CV at the end of the same document.

Ann, the CV is as well as the bio -- and an explanation of one's poetic practice...!
Do they want a blood sample as well?
Jayne
(Sorry, Bob, it's just a bit of fun ; thanks for the link.)
