Jayne,
The buffet at the Luxor is outstanding, and not too pricy. I hope you guys have lots of fun.
Cheers.

Simon,
Thanks for the good wishes for my daughter and her husband-to-be.
It was lovely to meet you and your family in London last year; maybe we'll see you on your side of The Pond next time!
Charlie,
An outstanding buffet sounds wonderful; I hope we get to sample it at the Luxor! And we shall certainly do our best to have lots of fun. Thanks
Jayne

Robert, Wow, that sounds exactly like much of Canada, except we get the marvy 6 month winter and 2 months of everything else.
Jayne, Congrats. Vegas is a long ways away from Ottawa, but have a blast.

Thank you, Jeanne. It's going to be a whole lot warmer than in England, that's for sure!
This time next week we'll have landed in Las Vegas.
Is anyone in touch with Robert Meyer, our "resident desert rat" in Vegas? I've PMed him but had no reply, and he hasn't been on the Sphere for months. (Are you around Richard??)
LA friends: see some of you on Friday 20th Feb, and/or during the following five days. I'm getting excited now!

Quick update:
The wedding went off splendidly in Vegas. I even managed to read three short poems I'd written... without blubbering!
On to LA for a few days... and it was wonderful to meet up with Charlotte, Julie (Steiner), Frank Osen, Leslie Monsour, Bruce McBirney and Betzi Richardson, plus other non-Spherians; and Robert Meyer and I chatted on the phone as we missed each other in Vegas.
My husband and I leave sunny, warm California to return to cold, damp England tomorrow afternoon, but I'm already looking forward to my next trip back to the States.

Oh, Jayne. I can picture you there. I know myself what hospitality our California Spherians are capable of and I know your sparkling personality. I get almost teary thinking about it.
