Default poets mar satanic cargo

Does anyone know what this means? It is the title of one of my poems in Girlie Gangs but I have completely forgotten what it means. It looks like an anagram.

John,
I've just been to fetch the book and read the poem again to see if I can help you out...

Since the poem is based on anagrams of poets' names I'm pretty certain poets mar satanic cargo is an anagram of something; the trouble is, there are oodles of 'em for that phrase!

I've looked at an internet anagram site and quite like ''pragmatists earn cocoa" - but I'm sure that's not it

Try a search yourself and you might recognise what you meant when you first wrote it! Sorry I can't do any more without getting inside your head (now, there's an interesting place! )

Jayne

If you could get inside my head, Jayne, you could give it a good sorting out. It's not an anagram, you know.

But if it were you could get orgasmic rant or an orgasmic rat out of it.

Yes that's what it is of course. Damn clever eh? Did you know or did you work it out? What a brain I had when I did that. Pity about orgasmic.

Thank you, Ann.

Was it a spectator competition?

Duh, ...don't you feel a numpty when the solution was so obvious!!! Well done, Annie.

(Though I still think "pragmatists earn cocoa" has a nice ring to it.)

And so do I, Jayne. Cocoa is the only drink for pragmatists. Idealists drink those horrid little coffees.
