Default H.D.'s movie "Borderline"

Who knew? (I didn’t.) H.D. was a film maker and actress too. Her film Borderline (from the 1930s) is available here. I have no idea how good it is, but “It’s about an interracial, bisexual love affair—not so much a love triangle as a love quadrilateral.” Wow.

Oh wow, thanks, Andrew!!!! I didn't know, but this explains why her reading of her poems is so fabulous.

Looks fascinating, Andrew. Thanks.

It is a silent film though, Mary.

I know, Nemo, I found out after I said that. Still, she looks very dramatic. But I found the film slightly annoying, and stopped it when the guy started doing weird things with a knife. It's amazing just to see HD in motion.

I could do with subtitles to help identify the characters - and thus the players.

The opening shot reminded me of Night of the Demon and made me smile.

I watched the first half and liked it, except for the sound track which was added decades later and is fifties-style jazz though the film is from 1930.

Ann, for information about who's who, check out the Wiki page on the film.

I didn't mean who's playing whom - I meant which character is which. Not all, for obvious physical reasons, but...

I can't watch something silent without telling myself internally what's going on and there were not enough clues here. A touch of "couloirs interminables", if you get my meaning.
