The finalists for the main event (threads 1A-1H) have all been posted, so you're just in time for the ritual questioning of the judge's taste and sanity before the voting for favorites begins.

The entries are also in for two secondary events (threads 2A-2B)--the translation of two poems by the Syrian poet Meleager (1st century BCE).

Voting for favorites will begin Tuesday, 7 October 2014, and will run through Tuesday, 14 October 2014. Until then, feel free to lobby for or against the main event finalists in their respective discussion threads.
