New Trad Journal
A heads up -- the New Trad Journal, which has featured a number of Sphereans in its relatively short life, seems to have disappeared. However, although the journal has been declared "defunct," the Facebook site is still up, so perhaps Duotrope's gloomy assessment isn't accurate.
Oh well, it was fun (to read) while it lasted. I wish them well in their next endeavors.
Best,
Ed

Thanks for sharing the news, Ed.
Better to have failed than never to have Trad, I guess.

We all deserve at least one brief I-told-you-so-moment is this life, Michael. Bask in it while it lasts.

Um...er....
(I'd post a few of Michael's previous I-told-you-so-moments, but there are just so many to choose from. Any more basking, however brief, and he'll turn into a lizard. Don't encourage him, Nemo!)

Duotrope's gloomy pronouncement aside, it appears that news of its death has been greatly exaggerated. A tip of the hat to Philip Quinlan for this good news and a working link for the site.

Ed: You can always send an email to duotrope to correct information that they might have wrong. I've done this in the past, and they are very responsive.

Thanks, Nausheen. I've sent an email as you suggested, so we'll see what happens. I've become a bit disenchanted with Duotrope of late -- their lack of a decent search function drives me barmy -- but I'll be the first to admit they're usually on top of these things and quick to respond.
Best,
Ed
