Nice clowns, Kyle. The Donald is President and the sky has not fallen in. We walk and talk and do not languish in jail. The rest of the world (including us Brits) trundles along much as usual.

Perhaps 'evil' is the teeniest bit over the top. Not very nice is nearer to it. Dubbya and Blair did much more harm (though they had many years to do it). Sometimes I consider these men evil. At other times merely buffoons. Meanwhile we get on with the important things of life, our families, our poems.

Hell, I wish I had learned to type properly.

Ralph, John and Ed: thank you!

John, "evil" might be a bit over the top, but "not very nice" seems a bit understated. I think Trump and his crew would do much worse to us if he could--he'd love to be Putin or Erdogan. I also think the rule of law is strong enough to prevent him, but then the Russians and Turks may have thought so too. It frightens me that such a large number of my fellow citizens seem to want a strong man to march behind. So we "trundle along as usual," as you say, but not without a great deal of uneasiness, at least on this side of the Atlantic.
