Default Two journals with form-friendly editors

Just a public service announcement, for those who might not have seen this news, about journals whose editors are friendly to form:

Literary Matters, the online journal of the Association of Literary Scholars, Critics, and Writers, is now being edited by Ryan Wilson. I've seen some striking formal work from him, and the new issue has poems by various Sphere alums, including A.E. Stallings and Chris Childers, and others you may know from West Chester.

And The Arkansas International is a new journal headed up by Geoff Brock, past winner of the New Criterion Prize and the Waywiser Book Prize.

That's all I know, but both look promising.

Maryann, the submission info for Literary Matters says that it is only accepting submissions from members in good standing, and membership is $100. That would make submitting rather costly for anyone who is not currently a member.

Ouch! My apologies for missing that, Susan. I hope Arkansas Int'l has no similar problems.

Editing back because I think it's important: Even if you can't submit, Literary Matters under R.W. promises to be a good journal to read, and selections are available online.

The Arkansas journal looks like an excellent venue. Geoffrey Brock was my workshop leader this summer at the Bread Loaf Translation conference--excellent feedback for me on translation and also metrical poetry in general. He's also editor of The FSG Book of Twentieth Century Italian Poetry (Farrar Straus Giroux) -- bilingual translation so a good venue too for translation
