Default Updates on the Dakota Pipeline

Sounds like the Obama-hold-the-pipeline bit was a smokescreen. Lots of aggression today against the protectors. Here is a good place to keep up with it. Friends I know and trust who have folks on the ground there say this is one of the best sources.

Thank you, Andrew. From so far away it is hard to get a clear perspective on this and your link helps.

Edited to add:
This is why the media won't show the protest on the pipeline.

The news is disheartening, but no surprise. Nothing ever really changes, for us. How poignant, this should happen on the eve of Columbus Day:

Bottom line, Hillary Clinton is for the pipeline.

"Donald Trump’s close financial ties to Energy Transfer Partners, operators of the controversial Dakota Access oil pipeline, have been laid bare, with the presidential candidate invested in the company and receiving more than $100,000 in campaign contributions from its chief executive."

I copied that off the Interwebz in the satisfaction of curiosity and pasted it here in the interest of balance.

But one half expects Trump to deport the Sioux back to Indianapolis, where they belong. Clinton's being running as the social justice candidate, indeed with her surrogates portraying any criticism of her as dick-swinging white privilege, which, even if consistent with her record, puts her support in a different context.

Sorry Q. I shouldn't have put my penn'orth in. It's not my election and I should keep out of it. I merely sought comparison.

I am not entirely sure what you mean by some of what you said (a further reason why I should not have commented) but I get the drift, I think. They are both as bad as one another but for different reasons. (I am not entirely sure of the grammar of that, but I can't work out what it should have been.)

I appreciate your reply.
