Default The Contenduh Racks up Another Second Place

My haibun won second place in the Haiku Society of America's annual haiku/haibun contest. Poems will be published in the next issue of Frogpond.

Second place is better. In your case it probably means the judge wanted to give the haibun first place but it was too salacious.

Always happy to hear Michael Cantor gather another laurel...and hope those laurels add up to the next book soon!

The fact that I did not enter in no way cheapens your prize. So I too offer my congratulations.

(What's a haibun?)

A lot of Seconds is perfect, Michael. Not too showy, and just enough under the radar to be cool. (And first prize winners are so dull.) Congratulations!
