Robert Mezey has won one of the most prestigious poetry prizes going, the Poet's Prize, which is awarded by a group of thirty distinguished poets who contribute their own funds toward the $3,000 prize. Well-deserved!!!!

Congratulations to Robert for being on the receiving end of this poets' act of generosity and esteem. It reminds me of the old idea of writers' chipping in to create a "fund" so TS Eliot could quit his bank job...but a simple award is so much better!
