For what it's worth - my brothers both went to Marlborough and hated it. I went to a girls' public school - worst days of my life. My son went to St Paul's, gained an exhibition to Oxford at 16, dropped out, partly because of illness, but pressured education when he was young in his year anyway didn't help. My daughter went to a comprehensive and has a first in English. My grandson left his comprehensive with four A*s in his A levels. OK, it doesn't prove anything. Just sayin' it.
