Rob, I am sorry to hear. And may I just say, that for you to have won The Frost Farm Prize last year and placed this year, is quite extraordinary?! Hope to see you next year. As Mike alluded to, however, we may book a bit early as attendees we have surveyed have overwhelmingly said they plan to return...and demanded we give them first dibs!
As for the partying, while more low-key great conversation than crazy, it went on late into the evening, just not near anyone's sleeping quarters. I lasted until 12AM the first round, post dinner party, listening to the wonderful wisdom and insight of Kevin Durkin while lifting french fries from Bill Baer's plate at our local pub, six minutes down the road Frost traveled. I crashed the next night when the great beverage-accompanied conversations were just getting underway around 10PM. It was nice because those who wanted peace got it and those who wanted to party were more than welcome to in good company. But everyone made it bright and early the next morning for class - some earlier than others.
We've put up a gallery on the site (just click the arrows and hover over the pictures for captions) for anyone interested. The opening night was quite a treat. Even folks who came for just the readings were delighted.
I guess I'm a tad biased, having worked on it from day one - largely inspired by having met Kim Bridgford less than a year ago! - but it was more than a little bit magical for me to meet, learn from and enjoy the company of so many talented and wonderful poets.
