Default Seated Figure

Wonderful, Steve, love the colour, the movement, the expression. I'd love something with this vibrancy to go with my 'Seated Figure' poem.

Yikes! I didn't realise I was younger than you. I'd thought of you as in your twenties !

Steve.

Steve, I'm checking in here because I'm about to post a painting... I should come here more often. This is the real thing, man! Congrats!

Hi Steve,

I've been coming back to this painting over and over, taking second looks...

It's really quite a nice painting, but I have a couple of suggestions... well, really one suggestion and one critical observation. The observation would be that your eyes seem unnaturally wide open. However, I don't know you, and it's not unnatural to such a large degree that it couldn't be how you really look, just unlikely, and that would only be a concern if you have intentions of selling it.

The other is a matter of cropping. The painting is currently a wee bit static, and the only thing need to fix that would be to crop the right side of the painting into the back of the chair, perhaps all the way to the back of the chair's arm.

Otherwise, I enjoy your color harmony and perspective, and find this to be, ultimately, a salable painting.

Great work, and congrats on 60! :-)

Best regards,

Wes

Excellent dimensions between the figure and the chair. Peaceful.
