Default Antiphon issue 11

A note to say that Antiphon issue 11 is live at http://www.antiphon.org.uk/index.php/issue-11 and that we are looking for submissions for issue 12, to be published in September.

Thanks for all your previous support.

Some very fine poets here. One of them (but not the only one) is Helen Mort whose name always makes me click for a closer look. You can read more about her here.

Another fine issue, Rosemary. Thanks for announcing it here.

Thanks, Janice - I'm glad I'm not intruding.

Helen Mort is a good and interesting poet, local to me - I don't think her publishers did her any favours with the cover of her book, though - it really wasn't about class conflict, or indeed the miners' strike at heart.

Heh! I was going to send Rose Kelleher a link to the essay on self-publishing to make sure she was aware it it, until she actually popped up in a paragraph of it. Helena Nelson's in the same essay, too.

But lots of other Sphereans are interested in this topic, so I'll just forward the link on to you:

In response to various comments about the above article, I'm vaguely wondering about the idea of some kind of self-publishing 'brand', where editors and poets are overseen by some powers-that-be to add a quality mark on the books produced - an attempt to make it easier for readers to distinguish self-published work that might be of a standard worth reading. It might be something Antiphon could do. It's only a nebulous thought at present, but I thought I'd mention it in case anyone has a) any experience of trying this or b) has any other comments. Oh, apologies if this isn't the right place to encourage this discussion.
