Pre1970 cowboy movie
I'm looking for any cowboy movie with a scene where the hero or villain indicates to 'his woman' - usually one he's hooked up with shortly after riding into town - that he's done with her and she's free game for all and sundry by throwing her clothes out of the saloon's upstairs rooms, and out into the street, in view of whoever happens to be in the public domain.
Any clues?
A more modern example would also work provided it has the same basic elements: the guy is the hero or villain, he is in place [x] temporarily, the woman thinks she may be the one to 'catch' him, and right before he makes his big move and saunters off to the next movie, he gets rid of her too - in this demeaning manner. So clearly, it can't be one of those toss-your-stuff-out-let's-make-up scenarios.
tnx, oh sphereans of vast and varied knowledge! heh

Tough one. At least in the movies the gender roles are the opposite of what you are looking for.
I struck out.

Seree:
The early 1970s Clint Eastwood western High Plains Drifter comes to my mind, although the scenario you describe isn't an exact match. Eastwood's iconoclastic character is a nameless gunfighter identified as the Stranger. The plot involves the Stranger riding into a mining town called Lago to seek revenge for a past injustice. The plot doesn't develop a romantic storyline between the hero and his woman in the way you describe, but the Eastwood character does sexually use and discard two women who are attracted to his bad boy persona.

Richard may be right. Every time I see this thread, something niggles in the back of my mind. I saw most of the old Eastwood spaghetti westerns a long time ago, and I think the scene is from one of those. A Fistful of Dollars? Hang 'em High? Or indeed, High Plains Drifter? (Though the latter is from 1973...)

Yup. Sounds like our Clint. It isn't Gary Cooper, that's for sure.

Seree,
If you were very young, could it possibly have been Cat Ballou? Just a wild guess here. I don't remember it well, because I was pretty young when I saw it, but I do recall disliking a couple of scenes.

The synopsis of High Plains Drifter says that the "protagonist" drags an annoying, but beautiful, woman off the street, takes her into a barn, and rapes her.
It's been awhile since I've seen it, and I can't recall if he throws her clothes out into the street or not.

I keep thinking John Wayne must do this to Maureen O'Hara, if not in McClintock, somewhere.
