Mason and Colorado
Hello Everyone!
I thought it might interest you to see something recently gone live, by David Mason. It was written for Colorado Tourism. They wanted a love letter to Colorado. Under the YouTube video itself, you can read the text of the poem. Just click on SHOW MORE.

Cally,
The poem is beautiful and, together with the images, must have been beyond Colorado Tourism's wildest dreams. Kudos, David Mason and thanks so much for sharing, Cally. <3

Dave, that's great! You're bringing poetry back to the people.

Nice. Too bad we can't get one from Baraka for New Jersey.

It's beautiful. Sort of Whitmanic. The video is gorgeous.

Hi again. Great to hear from you all!
You're right, Cathy -- the Colorado people are rapt. So glad you like it!
Aaron -- I think Davey always writes and speaks with a sound and touch that lets everyone in.
Hi Mark! You know the land. I'm happy this moved you.
Susan, yes, I think so, too. Something beyond words.
Rickster, you give us love letters from NJ all the time -- better than anyone else could do.
Thanks, Nausheen!
G'day, Sharkey!
We had 24 hours to write it, and it was written in a small cafe in Salamanca Place, on the waterfront in Hobart, Tasmania -- as far from Colorado as one could be, in many ways. Seeing through distance really involves the heart.
Oh, and come to Colorado . . . !!!

Her great rivers get up and grow.
They carry the topsoil of the soul
to the primal ocean far below.
I love the bluebird and the whisky jack,
the black bear and the antelope,
the cattle drive, the buffalo.
I love the canyons of the Ancient Ones.
Maybe they vanished, maybe they’ve never gone.
This!
