Hey, folks,
Along with the
Mousetrap poem Ed linked (thanks, Ed, and thanks to Allen and Andrew for commenting), another went up yesterday,
Exchange, at Extracts, your daily dose of Lit.
But the really big news came out today: I've won the 2012 LaNelle Daniel Prize in Poetry! For "Restoration," a metaphysical love poem, in rhymed pentameter, describing in exquisite detail the graceful beauty of Kate! Special thanks to Nancy Applegate at Old Red Kimono.
One of the best things about this one: the editors are all quite young, and they clearly weren't averse to meter and rhyme: Restoration, workshopped here in the deep end, is written in my four stanza twenty four line linked enclosed rhyme scheme. Thanks to all who commented, and, as always:
All Hail Kate!
Best,
Bill
