Default Sphereans in Lighten Up Online 29

The first issue of 2015 is now on line, featuring bards, birds, beach-bums, best sellers, book borrowers, cat stranglers, party-poopers and politicians, school heroes, songsters, soya-lovers, spring taskers and travellers.
And that’s just the Sphereans − in order of appearance Basil Ransome-Davis, Jean L. Kreiling, Joan Butler, David Galef, Martin Parker, Sylvia Fairley, George Simmers, Chris O’Carroll, Brian Allgar, Edmund Conti, Brendan Beary (+ comp) Melissa Balmain and Jerome Betts, with Susan de Sola and Leo Vincent also among the lonely wanderers of Competition 28.
If LUPO comes can Spring be far behind?

Thanks for the heads up, Jerome; and congrats to everyone! Here's a link to the current issue.

Best,

Ed

All those light-hearted bards mingling in one garden. It's hard to find a better party.

Thanks, Ed, (and for adding the link which I sometimes forget) as well as Susan and Janice.

As his successor in the electronic editorial chair, this seems the appropriate place to pay tribute to Martin Parker's work over seven years in charge of his bouncing brain-child and thank him for all the gloom-dispelling merriment and mirth he has facilitated. I look forward to what he may be able to offer us in his new-found freedom from the virtual green eyeshade and blue pencil.

A hard act to follow, but it's already full steam ahead towards Issue 30 in June.

As much as I'm glad to hear you're taking the helm, Jerome, I'm sorry to see Martin go. Still, you're right; he's one of the poets whose verse I always look forward to reading, and who knows what he'll come up with, now that he's free?

Be assured, Mr. Parker: I will be keeping an eye out for you.

Best,

Ed

A fine issue. Many thanks to Martin Parker for building the magazine over 7 years, and congratulations to new editor, Jerome Betts. Long live LUPO!

That's a wonderful crowd! (I couldn't find the cat stranglers, but it's probably just as well).

Thanks, Ed, Susan and Gail.

Well, one vocal cat-strangler in Bazza's opening salvo, Gail. I suspect I am less of a fan of the feline than you, apart from the late Oliver, an amiable apparently psychic local ginger.

Thank you, Sphericals, for your support over the years.
I am sure you will find Jerome far less curmudgeonly to deal with -- and much quicker to answer emails!
All power to him. Hail to the Chief!
