Default Wilbur Award deadline nearing!!! (and shocking news)

My buddy, the magnificent Erica Dawson, is judging this year's Richard Wilbur Award:

Shockingly, they are accepting electronic submissions for the first time.

Three minutes or less between the discovery of a problem and the solution?

Why don't you work for the government, Michael?

That would never do, Terese. To work for the government, you have to sign a declaration that you will never discover the solution to a problem in less than five years, by which time everyone hopes the problem will either have disappeared, or have been scientifically proved to be insoluble.

I see that it's open only to Americans. Isn't that xenophobic discrimination?

Thanks for the big grins, Mike and Brian!

Wish you could be in it, Brian. I am not in either, but it was health-related. Another year...
