Default The Flea

Hi folks,

I can't open The Flea's homepage. Anyone know of a problem?

Running a test at downforeveryoneorjustme.com gives the result that the site is down, but of course it doesn't say why.

Definite bummer.

Shit Creek Review can't be accessed, either.

That site - along the the Shitcreek Review and Chimaera - were started by Paul Stevens, who tragically died in March of 2013. I have no idea what provisions Paul had made for keeping the sites going, but it's possible that the Flea arrangements expired. The other two still appear to be functioning.

If it's a matter of paying to keep the sites going I would be very pleased to contribute, but have no idea of how to go about it, how to contact Paul's family, how they feel about it, etc. Can anybody help? I have the impression that a number of our members were close to Paul, and may have more information.

Cross-posted with Michael and now edited: I couldn't get on to the Angle site and made a joke about all these sites being down that seems a lot less appropriate in the context of Michael's post. Plus I hadn't realised that these others were connected.

The Chimaera is still there, but I am also unable to gain access to the other two.

The Flea was definitely around a few days ago.

Richard - I accessed SCR here -

http://www.shitcreekreview.com/issue3/contributors.html

and also found Issue 5 - but those were early editions.

I don't know, but I know a man who does. I'm asking and will report back.

Don't forget that there's always The Wayback Machine (aka, The Internet Archive):

I think Peter Bloxsom is the caretaker of Paul's online journals.
