Default Sam Gwynn & Charles Martin read in NY May 2

Charles Martin and Sam will be reading from their translations of Belli and Hugo, respectively, at an event celebrating the publication of *Poets Translate Poets*: the PEN World Voices Festival. This will be at the Maison Francaise on Washington Mews from 2 to 4 pm on Friday, May 2.

I'm not sure whether there's any admission fee, though I'm guessing there's not, as none is mentioned. Mark Jarman will also speak on translation. See

Note: this post has been corrected...

In addition, Sam will be reading at Carmine St. Metrics on Sunday, May 4 at 3 pm on E. 14th St. with Amy Lemmon and George Witte--but that will be announced in the very near future.

Washington Mews has to be entered from either Fifth Ave. or University Place. Don't be deterred by a "Private" sign. Anyone can walk through it. It is just south of 8th Street.

Here's a photo of the Fifth Ave. side.

If you plan to attend the reading, it's a good idea to go early!
