We're nearly at the end. I have commented where I could and guessed where I dared, but I have decided to refrain from voting, because I haven't given the right amount of attention to all the entries.
It has been fun and exhausting and very, very confusing, but three cheers, well done and thank you to all the contestants and I'll record again my huge respect for TSDG and TSY.

There were so many good entries, though inevitably with flaws, that I'm giving 1 point to each of the following, except for B, which gets an extra point for the hilarious "nits/wits".
B --"The Song of the Insufficiency of Human Endeavor" - 2 points
E --"The Black Cat" - 1 point
F --"Oh Ola, Ola, My Love, My Own" - 1 point
H --"Ode to Cassandra" - 1 point
J --"The Ballad of Sexual Dependency" - 1 point
If I'd had more points, I'd have given one to everyone!
Skimming through the results so far, unless there are a lot more last-minute votes to come, the winner is pretty clear ...

This has been an amazing event. Many thanks to the organizers, it must have been an exhausting and time consuming task. Special and extra many thanks to TDG Julie Steiner for the kind and wise critiques of all the submissions, not-winners included, and for yodeling so beautifully. I am touched and thrilled to find in my email this morning not only a very fair and very kind critique of my failed attempt but also my song on Soundcloud , beautifully rendered in spite of its flaws. It really didn’t compare to the ones that made the grade.
All the chosen songs are wonderfully well translated and sing-able. I have only now had time and energy to read them all, so missed the deadline for voting.
I have eight favorites – all eight are number one to me in any order. I like them all equally.
The only three I do not like are I Am A Man, Alas Alas and Ne Me Quitte Pas, and my dislike has nothing to do with the translations, I dislike the original, and that is, of course, not fair at all.
