Default Jazz band performing two translations that I workshopped here

The Early Bird Jazz Band playing a concert at the Simons Center.
Beginning of concert

They include two of my translations of Voskovec+Werich+Ježek:
(see Wikipedia article )

Dark Blue World (Tmavomodrý svět ) starts at minute 31 Dark Blue World

It is the theme music for the prize winning movie of the same name:
IMDB link to movie

A hat in the desert (Klobouk ve křoví) starts just around minute 40 A hat in the desert

They didn’t have much rehearsal time, and the singer makes a few tiny mistakes, but I hope that you enjoy it--I certainly did!

If anyone wants to see the text, here are links:
Here is a link to
Dark Blue World, and here is a link to
A hat in the desert.

I do hope to publish these at some point!

Martin

I certainly did enjoy this, Martin. Big congratulations! I can’t imagine anything more gratifying than to see and hear your work being sung for an appreciative audience.
