Default Poem as Song

A poem I workshopped here a long time ago has been recorded as a song . Click on "Women of the Ages".

The nicest thing that can happen to rhymed and metered words. Congratulations, John, and tell us more about how this came about.

Thanks, Maryann. Through the musical connections of Joyce, my wife, and Emma, one of my daughters, I meet many musicians and often converse with them into the wee hours. Sometimes those conversations touch on lyrics, poetry, and the interface between them. Laura picked up on that and asked me to send her some poems that may work as song lyrics. I did that three years ago and this resulted. The poem is also included in a recent anthology publication .

More good news!

I can't listen from where I am John, but will tune in first chance I get. I always note the musicality of your work--and congrats on the anthoology as well.

I takes a great deal to get me seriously (and positively) impressed. Congratulations, and congratulations. You are very right to be proud, and I - I - I want to do it too!

Terrific!

All Best!
