2011 Justice Award: Amit Majmudar
Flash! Just posted on Facebook by Jennifer Reeser: word has come in the mail that the 2011 winner of the Donald Justice Award is Amit Majmudar.
Thought not often around here, he IS a member, and our congratulations are in order.
Another tidbit of news about the award is that Jennifer's "Dark Lady" manuscript was a finalist in the contest.
Perhaps others have more news....?

Me, too. "Pacific Drift" is bobbing among the also-rans.
Congratulations to Amit - and to Jennifer.

Amit, if you're listening, congrats! Richly deserved!
Frank, and Jennifer, you both deserve champagne for running well. Here's to you both:
Thanks,
Bill

Donald Justice
Thanks, Maryann. And congrats Amit, to Ned Balbo, for his 2010 win, -- both well-deserved -- and to Frank, my fellow finalist.
Anna Evans was among the semi-finalists in the contest.
J
PS -- I appreciate the champagne, Bill ;-)

Counting down: Congrats to Amit, Jennifer, and Frank, and Anna, and Marly Youmans (announcement on her blog, revealed by googling.)
I hope we'll discover more names of finalists and semi-finalists. Does anyone know how many they choose?

Congratulations to the winners and the finalists! It is a very competitive field, but we should be glad that formalists are in the running at all.

My letter said I was among the semi-finalists as well. I actually kind of wonder what that means.

Dark Horse
Just thought I'd mention that Amit has poems in the new Dark Horse, including an impressive sequence, "Seven on the Ark."

Whoa - let me dial mine back - my letter read "semi-finalist" [aka "not a"]
